A DESTINATION FOR YOUR NEXT PROGRAMME
Alpine lakes, summer pastures and living craft traditions make Kyrgyzstan a natural centrepiece for a Central Asia programme. Connect Bishkek and the Issyk-Kul circuit with mountain valleys, village stays and time with local hosts.
WHERE TO GO
City introductions, the Burana Tower and valley landscapes.
Lakeshore routes, Dungan and Russian heritage, red-rock gorges and local craft encounters.
Highland pastures, yurt stays and the Silk Road heritage of Tash-Rabat.
PLANNING NOTES
Highland routes and yurt stays need to be matched to the travel month and local conditions. Winter programmes concentrate on accessible lakeshore and mountain areas. Allow time for mountain drives and discuss altitude, walking ability and accommodation expectations early.
The main catalogue generally proposes May to October; highland access depends on conditions. The winter collection covers November to March.
Combine with Kazakhstan through the Almaty region, or extend a programme to Uzbekistan’s Silk Road cities. Cross-border arrangements are checked for the specific travel dates.
These notes describe catalogue concepts, not current entry rules or confirmed transport. CATS checks the proposed arrangements for your dates and travellers.
